Snapchat is one of the most popular apps for consumers (particularly millennials), according to a new comScore report , but how popular is it with small businesses? Snapchat, a recent addition to our Local Commerce Monitor™ survey of small businesses (Q3/2016), isn’t among the top 10 most used media by small businesses. It isn’t even among the top 10 social media used by small businesses (it is actually 11th out of 13 social media channels). Snapchat is only used by 4.1% of small businesses for advertising and promotion. Most of the small businesses that reported using Snapchat when it comes to their return on investment, not many small businesses saw high ROI- more than half saw returns of 5-9x or 10-19x spend.
Small businesses’ use of social media is increasing and diversifying. Many SMBs market through multiple social channels. Click on the link to download BIA/Kelsey’s Franchise Advertising and Marketing Research Report for free, compliments of Vya.
